You have delivered my soul from death, Lord, that I may walk in the presence of God in the light of the living

Reading for today: 2 Corinthians 5:13-17
Christ died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for the one who died and was raised to life for them
Pray for Fr Graham and Mtr Linda as they guide us through the Easter Mystery.

Good Friday 3rd April
Reading for today: Matthew 16:24-26
Jesus said: If anyone wants to follow me, let them renounce themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
Jesus is nailed to the cross to pay for our redemption. Let us praise him.

Holy Saturday 4th April
Reading for today: Romans 6:3-11
By our baptism into Christ’s death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glorious power, we too might begin living a new life.
Jesus lies dead in the tomb. Pray that we may die to sin and live for Christ. Pray for those who have died and whose years’ mind occurs this month.

Reading for today: Matthew 28:1-10
At the grave, the angel said to the women: Do not be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.
Doubt no longer but believe – Jesus Christ is risen. Let him show us the way to the Father.

When overburdened to the point of despair, we learnt to rely, not on ourselves, but on God who raises the dead to life.

In a vision I saw one like a Son of man and the people of every tongue and nation worshipped him. His kingdom is everlasting and will never pass away.

The point of all our toiling and battling is that we have put our trust in the living God, who is the saviour of all people.

Jesus said: Love one another just as I have loved you. By this, everyone will recognize you as my disciples.

Christ has been raised from the dead as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life.

While two disciples were on their way to Emmaus, talking together about all that had happened, Jesus himself came up and walked with them.
